Kinda reminds me of the Jjapaguri "Ramdon" scene from 2019's Parasite. Mixing the two kinds of instant noodles into a hybrid dish is a low income staple in South Korea. But the richies added steak that costs $150/lb to $2 worth of noodles to gussie it up. That movie had so much going on.

One of the lines in my family's recipe for crab salad is "as much crab as you can afford". Nowadays we can put as much crab as we want in it. Of course, where I live could be described as "as much housing as you can afford".
