Ah yeah, just rewatching Firefly and they just used the whole lot!

I love the Roger Young; one of my favourite starships. I love all the aesthetics in that film. Hell, I love everything in that film, full-stop; it's my joint favourite film, along with Fifth Element and Galaxy Quest.

I wonder now if there was some kind of competition between Verhoeven and Cameron. He’s kind of the darker side of the same coin. Cynical and vitriolic where Cameron always has a feel good bottom. Verhoeven is just a pit of (great) darkness.

Saw #StarshipTroopers 4 times at the cinema those days. Was really flashed by the intensity of this movie.

I remember going to see this in the theater. My friends and I had no idea what we were in for. What a movie! It was my first Verhoeven film, and I've had a fondness for it ever since.
