The Dog Stars (In theaters, August 28): First Trailer "A young pilot has carved out an isolated homestead in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. But that changes when a mysterious radio transmission spurs Hig to venture into the unknown..." Sir Ridley Scott, 88, still creating sci-fi stories 👌

Has anyone read the novel and is it worth picking up?

The first half is very good and the second half (which seems to make up more of the movie) is awful

I don’t think of it as sci-fi. Mostly a story about survival, grief, and hope in tough times.
