The series will run for a full decade and spawn several spin-offs. Since Amazon has just canceled a planned sequel, we can expect a reboot of Stargate (without SG-1).

Very Bad News for the Stargate show! "The new Stargate TV series has been axed at Amazon, Variety has learned exclusively. Amazon execs were concerned that Gero’s take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise’s already dedicated fanbase."

I have zero faith in Amazon Studios after they cancelled the sequel, for the reasons they cancelled it. Stargate fans want Stargate. Instead what the execs want are a lot of the things SG1 made fun of in episode 200.

Small language tip: using "The series will run for a full decade" to describe events that have already happened sounds extremely strange in English. "The series ran for a full decade" is much more natural - since, unlike French, in English the historical future tense is extraordinarily rare.
