🎵It's been a long road, getting from there to here. It's been a long time, but my time is finally near. And I can feel a change in the wind right now. Nothing's in my way. And they're not gonna hold me down no more.🎵 Star Trek Enterprise started 25 years ago today. It's really been a long road 🖖

"It's vile." "I know. It's so bubbly and cloying and happy." "Just like the Federation." "But you know what's really frightening? If you drink enough of it, you begin to like it." "It's insidious." "Just like the Federation."

Even as someone who feels that they should have 100% used Archer's Theme instead (as originally intended), in the song's defense, the lyrics do capture part of the spirit of the show and franchise. However, it should have been used over a montage to close Broken bow out with, not as the main theme.

Best Trek opening ever. And it was a wonderful return to the roots of Star Trek with a fantastic first season. This was also the first Trek I discovered while it was airing in the US (downloading VCDs !) so it has a special place for me.

25 years now, wow! Sigh... "Dead Stop"(S2/E4) directed by Roxann Dawson(B'Elanna) is the one episode of Enterpise that resonated with my memory the most. For myself, the automated repair station is Borg intelligence coded.

I'm currently watching it from time to time (mostly for the first time) - partly because some references in New Trek And ... to be honest the first 2 seasons where mostly simply not really good for me Now i'm at the beginning of season 3 and its gotten a lot worse, holy 💩what did they think?

Kinda funny to think about how they called it only "Enterprise" at the start, hoping to distance it from star trek. fun fact: in that shot of the enterprise shuttle rolling out, several TOS actors are there in the shot, cause they were there for the unveiling. Underrated show that ended too soon

That was a thing in the 00's- Sci-fi shows trying to distance themselves from sci-fi in one way or another. Shows avoiding space (Eureka, Tremors, Lost), avoiding aliens or laser guns (Battlestar Galactica, Firefly), or past associations ("Star Trek"-less Enterprise).

(not that the shows weren't good, but it's the same era that brought WWF/WWE to Sci-Fi Channel, and that channel in particular expressing less interest in shows like Legend of the Rangers due to a shift away from "space shows")

(This is also partially why Enterprise had its song as a main title theme song instead of a more traditional, sweeping orchestral piece- to make it feel more contemporary)
