Itโ€™s only just dawned on me, but Biowareโ€™s impact on the culture I cover is so significant that I happened to post an advertisement for Knights of the Old Republic (2003) just hours before the studio closed.

KotOR was incredible, and itโ€™s not for nothing that it often tops lists of the best Star Wars games. ๐Ÿ˜Ž The first time I experienced it, I watched my brother play it on the Xbox. The big reveal was brilliant. The reimagining of the Star Wars universe was brilliant. The Ebon Hawk was brilliant.

When my bro received Mass Effect for Christmas, the game had completely flown under my radar. The prologue and the lore-filled codex motivated me to buy a 360. Mass Effect remains my personal favoriteโ€”flaws and allโ€”for the sense of horror and impending apocalypse it evokes within a sci-fi mystery.

Dammit! That's the saddest "coming soon" I've seen. ๐Ÿซ  The next hero ship looked good! What if the Normandy was sleekier?
