Flying Disc Man from Mars was released 76 years ago today. I know, it makes you feel old. "A hero single-handedly sets himself against Martians trying to assume control of Earth."

Where are the martians and why does the plane have a Japanese rising sun on its tail?

Nice ! Flying Disc Man from Mars is a 1950 Republic Pictures 12-chapter film serial.

I kind of wished the talents that brought L.A. Noir to gaming, should have done a whole new genre of games based on ALL the serials. Seeing good guys and bad guys wearing fedoras duke it or have a shoot out would have been fun to play.

But.. why did they dive off without Helen? Where did she go anyway?

These serials were great. But the cliffhangers were always cheats. With a crucial part not shown. You know George Lucas wanted to re-make Flash Gordon but could not get the rights. I think what he came up with was pretty good. 🤣😍

Dropping the Hero out of a spaceship bomb bay is quite the cliffhanger. Pretty good models and props too.
