I'm actually using Bluesky's "personal data server" but I could be using my own, and that's how this works. Data across the open internet!

Does the PDS get some kind of pingback (not a literal XML-RPC one, just something analogous) on replies and/or mentions? Or do you have to use the AppView and/or drink the firehose to find out about them? Some of the architecture charts seem to imply the former but I don't see it in the API.
