100%. I have been a dick to open source developers in the past but in my defense I was like 14 and an idiot and learned better. Not sure why I said "in my defense." Don't think that makes me look great.

I've done it in the past too, unintentionally. Making up for it IMO is enough by just acknowledging the error and working against that. Though I think I made up for it by actually contributing to an affected project - now ListenBrainz users can submit extended metadata in their scrobbles 'cuz of me.
