I regret to inform you that the Doors Open Day poster on the @thecockburn.bsky.social website is AI slop. If only this city had any awesome photographers and/or designers that our heritage champions could have turned to instead then we might have avoided this machine-generated embarrassment 🤦

If we were to give them a ( very, very generous ) benefit of the doubt. It could be slop, sloppily taken from an image search and used in ignorance. Rather than slop they've generated themselves. ( I find this explanation more depressing - since it's proof of ai slop polluting general searches )

We *could* be generous, except they have other posters on the site using a genuine photograph of same, and they've also got more than one offender when it comes to slop. I'd say they've been creating these with an obvious "doors open" prompt.
