I live in northern Maine. Once a bastion of solid, dependable workers. Every non-Amish roofing company in the area now uses immigrant labor…. Our 12 person crew was from Ecuador. A friend had some work done in another part of the state..Brazilian crew.

We do have some local labor in Rangeley...and a multi-year wait list for some parts of construction. Unless you own a 3rd home and can afford to pay a premium to have someone show up, your option is to youtube it an figure out how to do it yourself or wait.
