One of the turn signals / indicators on our car needed its light changing, so I thought it would be a good idea to answer the old question: "How many Software Engineers does it take to change a light bulb?".

I'm happy to report that the answer is one. However, that's the answer to the wrong question.

The *real* question is: "How many times does the Software Engineer have to go to the auto parts store before he comes back with the correct light bulb?"

I had an indicator die, went into the first garage I saw. Having looked up the bulb type on my phone, I found a guy and asked him if they had one. There was sample board on the wall - like a poster showing all the different types of bulbs, but with actual bulbs slotted into it instead of pictures.
