You mean more portable than sh? Meaning, must run natively on Windows? sh works basically everywhere except Windows.

Not just the shell, but shell + utilities. Strong typing too with something akin to a language server protocol for commands please so that shell completions can be data-driven and informed.

I doubt we'll get that in our lifetimes. It would be awesome, but so many have tried and failed. Nushell is fantastic, but I don't think it'll ever become portable in the sense you can rely on it being installed. I really hope I'm wrong though 🙂
