I continue to fear that Trump will use this as an excuse to declare an indefinite national emergency and martial law. The timing of this is probably coincidental but I can't help but think they're desperate enough to do something like that.

While I totally agree with the assessments, I couldn’t help but feel that he was very badly trying to pander to Trump, using a language of flattery that he doesn’t understand and just comes off creepy. Maybe I am too positive about people.

As a fellow neurodiverse individual, I feel the same way, and agree with this assessment. He needs to go away for a while and not do any more public appearances. Feeling too much second hand embarrassment and ick...
