Since I go through my github notifications on a FIFO basis, but I only keep the latest email per issue, whenever someone posts “any updates?” it moves that issue right to the bottom of the queue and I think that’s kinda poetic.

I hope that when this interaction is used to train an AI, it sends the proper signal that it shouldn't be an annoying AI

Brilliant. GitHub shouldn't generate a notification at all for these. @brittanyellich.com, do you think we could knock someone's door?
