the Xbox price hike is hilarious to me, because with Microsoft bankrolling OpenAI for years, they've contributed to the current RAM shortage; asking POTENTIAL customers to cushion your own self inflicted blow when your console is already stomped by Sony just sounds like a bad joke

I mean there wasn't much in terms of motivating people to buy an Xbox in 2026 prior to this, and here's them just coming out openly like "HEY YOU!! DO NOT BUY OUR CONSOLE!!" what even is this industry istg

Corporations have grown so much that their biggest competitors are themselves. I'd argue it's a good reason to split them into multiple separate entities.
