An all-in-one conference system on atproto would be a very cool project. Something with Bluetooth beacons would be super fun, too. Attendees could enable the conference app to auto check-in to sessions. would be cool when you meet someone but their name and handle.

But this is also a space where more tooling could be great given atproto's aggregative shape.

Attendees just need to have the app and sign in with their Atmosphere account. Then the app can update their status on event records (RSVP'd vs actually attended), show them which of their moots are in the room, give them a screen at the end of the talk to download slides and follow the speaker...

Plus build in the YouAndMe functionality so it works whether you're using YAM directly, or Sifa, or just the conference app.

Those beacons scattered around the conference could help with storing location data so you could generate a map of your path thru the conf, and even see exactly where you scanned someone's code.

I imagine a lot of people would be opposed to storing that sort of hyperlocal data on protocol because it could be easily abused, but... ya know... if you used permissioned data... ๐Ÿ‘€

Attendees get a personal bucket for all of the location data, maybe with an opt-in to add the organizers to the space so they can do things like optimize traffic throughout a large conf space in realtime (think Re:invent or Gamescom, where traffic jams can be a nightmare).

You could also create a space for every YAM connection, then the users have to mutually agree that they're okay with the space being publicly readable.

Yeah, this sounds like /a lot/ of fun to architect and build. ๐Ÿค” Totally unrelated, but if anybody wants to pay me to architect and/or build systems on top of atproto, you know where to find me. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
