We're sure a lot of you are wondering: what is HappyProto going to cost? The final numbers will be determined by the closed beta period, but the smallest plan will currently be $10 a month. But if we're being totally honest, we're having trouble deciding how pricing should work. 🧵 #atproto

Login with atproto may be one of the most powerful pieces the protocol has to offer, but setting it up can be... difficult. HappyProto makes it easy. Allow your users to log in with any atproto account and skip a week of reading specs. OAuth, DPoP, scopes... forget about it. 😎 #atproto

Decentralization, user autonomy, community moderation... atproto is awesome! It's also complex, and building on it shouldn't mean learning how every piece works. Tell HappyProto what data you care about and it indexes everything important, deletions and moderation decisions included. #atproto

atproto is public by default... which is great until your app needs a private group, or an invite list, or a draft. HappyProto comes with atproto spaces already enabled. You can have permissioned data for your users, even if their PDS doesn't support it yet. #atproto

My goal is to get more people building on atproto. Two recent projects are helping: @attie.ai Sites lets non-devs build atproto mini-apps, and @happyproto.at handles atproto infra for devs.
