One Night of Sleep Can Now Predict Your Future Health Stanford researchers have developed an AI that forecasts your risk of serious diseases using data from just a single night of sleep.

The model is called SleepFM. It analyzes detailed recordings of brain waves, heartbeats, and breathing patterns to find hidden health signals. Here are the key findings from the study: The AI trained on over 585,000 hours of sleep data from 65,000 people.

It successfully identified risks for over 130 different conditions. The model was particularly good at predicting dementia, Parkinson’s disease, heart attacks, and certain cancers.

It works by connecting different body signals. For example, it notices when your heart and brain patterns are out of sync. This turns a standard sleep test into a powerful tool for early disease detection. Doctors may soon use sleep studies to catch serious illnesses years before symptoms appear.
