This actually seems to be a phonetic spelling of Chinese, since Guei is actually written as "鬼" (guǐ), means "ghost" (I'm so sure because I'm Chinese, and "鬼" in Japanese is pronounced Oni or Ki, which is a big difference), so the pronunciation is "Goo-ay" put together.
