I've been thinking about the beauty of open data and how the AT Protocol and wider Atmosphere ecosystem has been recapturing that open data environment that once defined the web. It really does feel special. vale.rocks/posts/atprot... #atproto #ATProtocol

I have this fear that permissioned data is going to kill this, but I can only hope that the fear is unfounded.

There is working going ahead at present to allow permissioned data on the AT Protocol. This is great in a lot of ways. Being able to have private data will open up a lot of doors. My fear is that this will bring an end to the open environment of the Atmosphere. The openness is what makes it great.

I'm thinking of using it down the road on my website so that it can become my personal note-taking tool (I really want to organize my notes spatially, but I don't want all of them to be public.)
