Our family is replacing the fridge & I underestimated how attached my kids are to the old one tears in their eyes: we've known it our whole lives! They've asked me to take multiple photos & videos of them with the fridge

Technically does but hasn't worked properly for years— we've gone all in on a countertop ice maker (the kids love eating the ice) I think it's more emotional attachment to consistency in their lives Aside: when you think about it, it's weird to have a hole in the box meant to keep things cold

We have both as well. The wife and some of the kids prefer the melty chewy ice and me and the other kids prefer fridge ice hole. I have replaced both the ice maker and parts for the ice maker multiple times in the last 5 years but it’s just such a magical feature. Use it 10 times per day. Yummy!

Oh yeah we're a 'melty ice family' XD The kids will literally eat it like a snack We haven't had any problems with the countertop over the years but sooo many with the fridge. Our new one coming is a 'simple' design with a freezer & fridge (no ice or water dispenser)
