Some of you have been asking whether or not Vivaldi is affected by Chrome’s #AI API, which some websites are using for tracking purposes. The answer is straight-forward: no. ✌️ We disable all the Gemini-related code bundled in Chromium, effectively preventing websites from using this API in Vivaldi.

Now please add a toggle for the passkeys API. VB-129920 has received zero acknowledgement since it was created on July 10.

Disabling Gemini's tracking API by default is exactly the kind of upstream override that sets Vivaldi apart from browsers that merely promise privacy.
