I write code. You can find a lot of it at https://github.com/jsumners. When I'm not doing that, I'm probably riding my bike or practicing yoga. https://www.strava.com/athletes/5096393

Yeah, fuck this trash game. Lost on the first(?) bird fight and just can’t bring myself to give enough of a shit to try it again. Uninstalled this trash.
This is very accurate. I'm having a very difficult time making myself care about this game. The combat is worse than the abysmal writing. I have not been able to figure out why this is such a fan favorite. www.reddit.com/r/patientgam...

I’m really quite annoyed by the whole “let’s build the basics so ecosystem modules can build on it” approach taken by @nodejs.org when adding new core modules/features. It just makes them half-ass and pretty much unusable. The one exception I’m aware of being `node:test`.
Or, and hear me out, you can just write glorious JavaScript.
The takeaway: the source of truth is where you develop. It is not necessarily what you ship. A build step that turns .ts into real, runnable .js is not overhead — it's what keeps npm composable for everyone. Watch here: streamyard.com/watch/u6BXNG...
Even Java has simple APIs for loading source from a string. But in @nodejs.org we are limited to hacks with `node:vm`, with some needing an experimental flag. There should really be two simple functions for this.

It’s stunning how poorly the @github.com PR feedback UI has become. Absolutely nothing makes sense because comments are not associated with anything.
Do NOT do this. You will give them what they want: a legal entity to blame and sue when something goes wrong. The ONLY valid response outside of ignoring it or saying “fuck off” is: “I invite you to review the license under which this software is provided. Goodbye.”
Alternatively, open source maintainers looking to earn a living from maintaining their open source projects are welcome to respond "fuck you, pay me" and produce security attestations—without threat of suddenly their project is a formal product subject to all manner of regulation.
@github.com why can't we disable this "Copilot" garbage at the org level? I never want to see those useless "reviews".
These @partifulapp.bsky.social people are taking the stupid to the next level. Not only are they tying accounts to an identifier that is NOT UNIQUE and is regularly re-issued, they are opening up that identifier to data leaks. In other words, anyone that drops their number can have their history...
The fact that I had to use this cheese technique and map to accomplish this says everything one needs to know about the terrible design of this game. gamerant.com/ff7-final-fa...
FF7 Rebirth is completely ruined by these damn mini games. The whole game is an elaborate complicated menu system for selecting the next mini game. It’s terrible. The shitty ATB systems combat, so there’s really nothing to enjoy. An over 100 hour slog. screenrant.com/final-fantas...

It is mind bogglingly stupid.
i genuinely think that the way this admin is treating Canada will be looked back on as of the most shameful chapters of modern US history far too many people are laughing it off as unserious but the reality is that they’re spitting in the face of our closest ally for no reason
At what point does @github.com return to being useful? How is it that one of the richest companies, with a giant stockpile of talent, can’t get this problem solved?
