I disagree. A memo went around weeks ago. There are parliamentary actions in committee Reps could be doing to grow sand in the gears. Asking for points of order, etc. But no guts.

This is what appals me most. Our system should mitigate this & so many of the so-called fails-safes (Congress, The Dems, Media, The SC, voters, even Business) are capitulating. And, to be clear, we are showing we can push our heads further into the sand than the Germans did. For less reason.

It's so so obviously happening We're not sliding into autocracy. We are there. And we better start fighting like we're there.

Yes, I remember on Twitter you had a tweet yrs ago saying we’re checking all the boxes on the way to autocracy. It seemed pretty obvious this was where we were headed for the last 3-4 yrs but we still couldn’t stop it 😔

I don't know if people today think they're different than those who have gone down this path in the past. I think they are blissfully unaware that anyone has gone down this path, and the terrible consequences they incurred. Civic ignorance is all consuming today.
