Chicken is not the only farmed animal and CO2 is not the only greenhouse gas. And do those numbers account for gHg emissions attributable to land use, feed production, and manure?

Of course, beef is 9-10x worse than chicken (enteric methane) and Pork about 1.4x worse. And yes those figures include all inputs. My point is this is a distraction. Cut beef out if you like but switching to a vegetarian diet is a sideshow vs other emissions.

The climate crisis has many causes. And yes some of them are our "fault" in that citizens of the wealthiest countries on earth have grown accustomed to an unsustainable (and morally reprehensible) diet.

The first sentence of the article: "Even if the entire world transitions away from fossil fuels, the way we farm and eat will cause global temperatures to rise 1.5 degrees Celsius" Everyone in the comments: "let's do literally anything else first, then maybe we'll think about it."

You're right! Put it all on the end consumer, the people with the least ability to make change! If we stop all climate impacting abilities surely the billionaires will stop flying their private jets and their companies will stop using fossil fuels! Point the finger at the big polluters. ABOLISH ICE
