We think the best, longest-lasting software is built with the people who use it. So we’re opening Warp to the community: the code, the roadmap, and the contribution process.

To make this possible, Oz-managed agents do the heavy lifting (coding, planning, testing). This lets community members focus on ideas, direction, and verification. We believe this workflow will let us build a better Warp, faster. github.com/warpdotdev/w...

OpenAI is the founding sponsor of the new open source Warp repository, and these agentic management workflows are powered by GPT models.

So proud to be a part of this. Was kind of bummed stepping away from open source after maintaining @astro.build , and now I'm excited we get to open up Warp (and into a much different developer landscape to boot). Let's build a better terminal together 👏

Oz allows you to run agents in the cloud, so that you're not limited by having them run locally: you can spin up a ton of them, close your laptop and have them continue running, build automations around them, etc.

I want this! But, how do I pay? When I see "managed" and it's free, it's hard to not anticipate a rugpull. Hard to commit to building atop a platform without a clear pricing structure.
