The NYT interviewed kids about their predictions of the future and most of them were saying shit like “more war and everyone will be poor and sad”. The vibes are so foul actual children have noticed and are getting depressed

Was giving my 13 year old and her friend a ride somewhere, and I don’t remember the exact subject, but my kid replied: “Yeah but humans will just destroy the environment with AI, so what’s the point” and I let out an involuntary “oh fuck” then kinda froze mid-driving
