People have forgotten how bad these illnesses are and don't believe they are real or feel they are a part of the past. There are people alive today that knew people who's life was taken or severely altered by measles mumps polio and so on, and now these young parents think they are not dangerous.

We've had two cases in my town of Lubbock, TX. This is a direct threat to children and to immuno-compromised adults. I have one such friend praying her decades-old MMR vaccine still gives her some protection.

My niece got a live liver transplant from her dad at 6 mos. (She's 16 now) A few years ago in a doctor's waiting room & heard another woman say "I think she's had measles long enough to not be contagious anymore". They fled in terror. Transplant patients can't get any vaccines.

Around 10 yrs ago - my adult son worked in an office tower in downtown Toronto. Everyone in the tower received notification that a person who was in a pub there/worked there had measles. My son had to clarify with his doctor if his vaccine was up to date. Adults MUST take this outbreak seriously.

Like not literally good because it affects all of us, but i say we remove some warning labels. Cause the people who are vaxed and trust science dont typically need every warning label.

R on some of these demons of the old world is truly terrifying. Sure, case fatality rates may be low, but with enough cases you end up with a lot of dead kids. Visit old cemeteries and see how many littles are buried with their parents. It’s sobering stuff.

Science is real. Vaccines work. Not vaccinating your children is child endangerment. You are born with the brain you have and some people are born with autism. Again science is real

We had ‘measles parties’ when I was a kid. They thought if all the kids got it at the same time it wouldn’t be as bad & no-one would get it again. I caught german measles & nearly died. I had measles 3x.
