I’ve managed ~55TB Postgres OLTP databases (with OLAP systems far larger), so I find this meme funny and still accurate when people deploy obscure “Colossal Data” solutions to handle tiny datasets, needlessly straining their engineering teams.

Reminds me of an Enkitec joke we’d quote in Dallas: “in Texas we just call it data” /cc @acolvin.bsky.social
