Windows 95 (1995) introduced a brand new Windows user interface, centred around the new Start menu & Taskbar. For users who preferred the older Program Manager UI seen in Windows 3 (1990) & Windows 3.1 (1992), an option was included during 95’s setup to switch back to it. 👍

Was Chips Challenge exclusive to Windows 95? I remember playing that so much but never heard of it after that OS.

Imagine to have a choice of the UI! Program Manager was still included in Windows Me and could be switched as the shell. It was a deprecated option for 6 years and 5 major OS releases (95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, 2000). All that, while Win11 suck out of the box.
