If you follow the logic of the pro birth, fetal personhood fanatics a fetus would be an American citizen with rights and protections. Under their scenario charges should be brought for abuse, manslaughter and perhaps murder, unless of course they are absolute hypocrites.

Great reporting. Super important story. Plz forward to all Congress. I've also fwded to our local TV stations to reach an audience that is less likely on Bluesky And which sees political ads embedded during newscasts that are pure RT Wing lies. I hope others will do same outreach.

Everything this Administration does is essentially illegal. This has Steven Miller written all over it.Treat them worse than animals. For somebody kidnapped off the street with no criminal record or tickets. Gets thrown into this has to be terrifying That’s what miller wants. These are innocent people

This regime's strategy is to overwhelm us with so many outrages we can't keep track and are overwhelmed w information. Protests, court cases, (ignored) injunctions, stories of immigrants snatched off the streets, Iran, Congress' budget bill, ad nauseum. We're intentionally being overwhelmed!

Wired, have you ever tried to call 911 or EMS from Russian prisons? Your call will be erased from your billing in case of your successful attempt, because calling from Russian prisons is illegal and mission impossible like during Soviet times. Now you have almost the same in the Unites States🤦

Like every guard in WWII concentration camps, every person connected with #ICE including contracted bounty hunters will be tracked down and held accountable for inhumane behavior and reckless endangerment of lives.

A decade of dehumanization and scapegoating brown people has led us here. The Trump admin and ICE view these humans as less than, as “the other”, which gives them license to treat them worse than animals. And when the public is desensitized, what’s the way back? We’re on a dark path

Content warning: For example, on March 16, a woman identifying herself as a detainee at the Stewart Detention Center in Georgia, called 911. Communication was strained: The dispatcher spoke no Spanish. "I need help,” the woman said. "I need … ayuda." Read more: www.wired.com/story/ice-de...

Weekly calls for 10 ICE sites, including sexual assaults and pregnancy complications. Drop-offs show where records are incomplete. Experts warn 911 call data can mislead: Upticks may reflect better reporting, while dips can signal unreported emergencies. Read more: www.wired.com/story/ice-de...

Immigration detention isn’t supposed to be punitive, says Anthony Enriquez, vice president of advocacy at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights. “But the conditions of confinement in detention are so brutal,” he says, “that people have attempted suicide while waiting for their day in court.”

As long as they’re not white it’s fine. Even though a Ukrainian man died in the Krome Detention Center of a stroke, denied medical care. Nine deaths reported, 4 from Krome. At Broward a woman died of a heart attack, her BP over 155, she was told to lie down. Refused medical care.

How long will it be before they just start sending everyone to concentration camps, not just a few hundred to El Salvador, Libya, Djibouti? No due process besides a declaration from some rando ex-mil deputy. Just start the killing?

In Europe, many citizens near the camps claimed not to know what was happening in or near their towns, bringing ongoing shame on generations of family. We have the internet. Do you know where the kidnapped with no due process are sleeping on floors in your state? Call your reps.

Republicans in Congress are complicit. Democrats that attempted to visit these concentration camps are barred entry, some arrested. Congress should have oversight of the Executive branch but DHS is calling the shots. The US is in serious trouble!

I don't know why I thought they were MAGA (I probably figured well they're a Texas company). I know they laid off a bunch of people, but they're standing by their DEI policy. I imagine the layoffs are due to Trump's idiotic trade wars. I'll buy computers from them and any that say fuck off to Trump.

I have just forwarded this article to my Senator here in Georgia, Jon Ossoff, asking him to investigate this once he and Raphael Warnock are home on summer break. I suggest all Georgians do the same. “All men are created equal, but some are more equal than others.”

I saw a video today of ICE brutally attacking a screaming Iranian woman all the while restraining her crying father. I had a nauseous feeling and became so upset that I will not watch those videos anymore. I’m still upset about it hours later and worry if that poor woman is okay.

No excuse for this. Despite the atrocities that happened in a certain prison overseas by some shitheads, the detainees I was involved with (not at the prison) were cared for, provided adequate food water medical and shelter and never put in harms way, in a damn war zone. They are people. Stop it.
