I used some third-party program to load up my iPod shuffle and never in my entire life have I suffered iTunes!😂

The day I figured out how to open the hidden folder and drop in all my own music sans itunes was incredible. I am curious why artists don't release their catalogs on IPods instead of box sets and vinyl. It would be a cool piece of design and probably not that much more expensive.

My music comes from the Internet! What backwards Internet-free world do you want, as your business model requires the Internet, i.e. is Wired even still printed any longer!😂

And if your headphone connector broke off in the socket and you took it to the Apple Store: I'm sorry, that's not repairable, but we'll sell you another!

I’ve never loved an innovation more than my first iPod. When they released the touch it felt like the beginning of the end. Victim of constantly needing to release new versions of things that were perfectly fine already.

My fav was the Nano because I could take it hiking.

Yup

Agree

It would sync with itunes. And only allow certain 'approved' music files. Typical apple garbage. Vlc was. Is and will contiune to be THE superior media player. Temu apple slop will continue to be overpriced and purchased by people whom are tech illerate.

It also only talked to Macs — FireWire-only, no USB, no Windows support until the 2nd gen in 2002.

Still use mine all the time.

I have and still use a 3rd and 4th gen. I really love them.

My iPod worked in my car from-20° to over 100°. Other than the battery not holding a charge, it still works.

Cool

I loved my iPod classic and was and still am super bummed that it won’t update anymore. I hope they bring that back around again

:)!

iTunes bricked my entire Windows 7 install once.

Miss my Fuze for the same reason.

Back when people collected music on their computers…. BTW a retired iPhone makes a pretty good iPod.

Still have mine 🤣

Be sure and label 'smart' phones as internet phones. Elegant tech = landlines, paper, radios
