here's a fun fact: if you need a package to go from one place to another Right Fucking Now, most major airlines have a cargo service that accepts parcels. sending a 1-50lb package from SFO to PHL "on the next flight" is $123.25, goes up to $208.25 at the max of 100 lbs

once had to hire a hazmat certified hotshot driver for a work thing, it's crazy how quickly you can get a thing to a specific place at a specific time when you can throw money at the problem

i have a [relation] who moved [object] and it's amazing how fast a large thing can move when you give two queers a vehicle

i used to be an on-demand courier that did exactly this, taking hand-sized parcels to and from the airport, and it was good money for interesting work, but being on-call 24/7 knowing i’d have to fight my way into LAX w/ Very Important Things that Absolutely Can Not Miss The Flight was Very Stressful

A construction project I had minor involvement in was erecting a tower crane. This was critical path and it turned out we were missing a single pin for the tower. By far the cheapest solution was handing a guy a return ticket to the airport nearest the factory and putting the pin in carry-on.
