I'm neurodivergent (undiagnosed), & dealing with the stress & hassle of even just trying to communicate w/healthcare facilities is so daunting to me, I told my PCP it's FAR easier for me to just live w/my chronic pain (kinetic chain breakdown) on my own & learn to manage it myself. 🤷‍♀️😞

Hypertension is also a particularly tricky one. The first-line meds we have also often have higher side-effect rates for non-white people, sometimes serious ones, and they aren't always as effective for non-white people either.

And who knows how often this is brought up to patients who aren't white? But then the reason we don't have universal healthcare is also mostly racism so, what else is new.
