That ought to do it

So on Big Bill, H.R.1, a provision added was a $25 billion fund to help rural hospitals. Problem: Medicaid cuts are roughly $1 trillion over 10 years. Since roughly 24% of rural population is on Medicaid, that's roughly a $240 billion cut A $25B rural fund offsets only about 1/10th of the cuts.

Expecting the closure of most small and rural hospitals across the country as a result of these GOP actions. How do they sleep at night knowing that large chunks of the country will be not just under-served, but un-served.

Funny only rural aka red areas get any relief, albeit inadequate. Never before have we had such a case of one party only caring about their own versus all Americans. It’s disgusting and should be called out.

Not saying it’s good or desirable, but that’s absolutely the way the parties operated for much of our history - at least until the Progressive Era, the parties were pretty open about trying to benefit specific ethnic/socio-economic groups they considered their constituency.

Can we get someone besides Schumer in front of the cameras from the Senate? He is not helping, he has half the national popularity as Trump. Senate Democrats have half-a-dozen better options.

GOP to their voters: “If we take Medicaid $ from your pocket and also blow up your local hospital budget $$$$$$, but then give a cash bailout $ to a local CEO fella to figure out a clinic or something, and hand the rest $$$$$ to billionaires we like, can we call it even? We’re still good, right.”

I heard it is only for rural hospitals in red states? That'll leave eastern Oregon out. The reaction might be an amped-up Join Idaho movement, not what I'd want (or what it should be).

Agreed. I'm hoping the relief funds can be drawn down immediately, giving the hospitals just enough time for the voters to realize the severity of access and qualification issues.

The Parlimentarian rejected Lees original proposal to sell public lands because it doesn't belong in a reconciliation bill but Lee snuck it back in there anyway hoping you wouldn't notice. Please have section 50301 removed. The public is overwhelming opposed to the sale of any public lands.

The Senate version of the reconciliation bill released last night on page 4 subtitle c lands section 50301 includes the sale of of Bureau of Land Management lands in 11 states. Zinke, Sheehy and Daines all sold out 11 states while exempting Montana. You should be outraged.

Lee is claiming the land sale is for Freedom Zones for affordable housing. That's not true. Freedom Zones are unregulated zones for oligarchs. The Zones will be exempt from Federal, state or local regulations. They can make their own tax codes to pay no taxes. Trump and the oligarchs want 10 of them

So basically the hospitals will be kept open but there will be no patients because the patients can’t afford it. The hospital will need to jack up prices meaning even those with insurance will suffer too. The GOP are complete barons and a-holes. Sickening, now my Mom will be on the streets I guess
