once again i am left feeling really disappointed that "Amtrak round-trip from Portland to Seattle" was ≈$40×4×2 ($320 round trip), while driving my prius was... $50 in gas. feel like we lost the plot somewhere with mass transit

it's more expensive And it takes longer... the travel time would be whatever if the price was right but it's not.

yeah i saw the "fastest" has a travel time of *still* 3 hours 30 minutes. the road trip is about 2h30m without a pit stop. like what are we even doing here
