“Code is most often read”

Performed a few code reviews today. The biggest thing I had to correct was unnecessary complexity. For Go, using a Pipe when it was totally unnecessary. For JS: using unnecessary syntax choices around defining functions. Also not using {} for if stmts. Think about others when writing code!

Exactly! You will write a piece of code and maybe someone you know will review/refactor it. However, the code will be read by many people and most likely people you don't know and will never meet. If it can't be maintained, it will be replaced.
