Does a standardized naming convention/list for VRChat contact Collision Tags exist? Would love if creators got together and assembled one so prop interactions across different avatars were more likely.

Have you actually seen these in use anywhere or just came up with some ideas for a hypothetical combat system? All the tags I've ever used were very generic, precisely so that they're very versatile. Like a "Fire" tag to light a cigarette, set an avatar on fire, etc. No need for "Flame" [...]

A handful of the combat stuff I've seen in the wild (Weapon, Melee, Fire) but a lot of this comes from my personal avatars and ones I've done for comms. Gotta start somewhere!

and "Igniter" on top of that. I would also combine "Water" and "Liquid" into one, since they're also the same. "Armor" seems a bit redundant too, if I wanted to create a shield that reacts to a sword, I would receive the "Damage" or "Weapon" tag, not emit an "Armor" tag 🤔 [...]

What if your liquid is gasoline? That’s flammable! But I see your point lol. I have to figure out a defining line for niche vs universal generics. Armor would definitely be niche as heck.

I do really like the idea of collecting actually used tags though, so that when making a new prop it can immediately be compatible with other people's stuff. If I make another prop in the future I'm gonna make sure to consult this list first!

Several people I know use "Cheers" for drink-clinky related things and years ago someone told me "Damage" is the standard for weapon interactions. I don't think these are widespread though.
