I noticed this change first at Target stores with their merch a couple weeks ago, but I looked it up and as others have said, it is more traditional to not have the Los in there, so I assume to shave microcents on merch, companies just went with it that way.

Russian doesn't use definite articles and the internet is full of their bots? My new conspiracy-theory-that-may-be-correct.
