I made a Proof of concept @vite.dev plugin that allows transforming JSX/TSX files into real @svelte.dev components on import (+ HMR) using Mitosis by @steve8708.bsky.social. Mitosis supports many other frameworks, so it can be improved further. Code + Demo: github.com/az33zy/vite-...

Is that a thing?

In Svelte 5, .svelte.{js,ts} files support the Rune syntax transformations in addition to .svelte files

I'll have to check this out. I was thinking more about using it with existing component libraries where there isn't much framework-specific logic. This would help save a lot of time.
