Introducing TanStack Redact 🌴 A smaller runtime for your existing React app. Add it to your build config and ship less JavaScript without changing a single line of application code. Works with TanStack Start, Vite, Vinext, and Next.js. tanstack.com/redact

In the next release, Rspack will support `codeFilter` for loaders ⚡ Run a loader only on modules containing specific code, such as a "use foo" directive. Skip unnecessary transforms and speed up your builds

i might say it's pointless not to build the idea, even the trivial ones, to see if theyre cool

I really think the @remix.run `mix` prop is the best JSX convention invented in the last 5 years. It brings directives (á la Vue, Angular, Lit, etc.) to JSX and that's something I've always wanted.

I still maintain that AT Protocol labellers won't be useful until we have labeller declarations that aren't tied to Bluesky and do declare what collections they operate over (what collections do they consume, what collections they label, etc)

I think it’s finally time for someone to vibe-fork the Swift compiler into a fully self-hosted version with (ideally) better performance and compilation times

It has occurred to me that a straight port from C++ → Swift will not generate automatic speed or memory improvements… This just became more difficult than syncing a port with the upstream implementation…

I kinda think that if the only thing Elizabeth Holmes is guilty of is defrauding Henry Kissinger of millions of dollars that we should be rewarding her instead of punishing her

Was also very confused by this until I read the post and realized that they meant "we are not forking the TypeScript language design and syntax," not "we are not forking the TypeScript compiler."

Matt Keeter@mattkeeter.com

My "We are not forking TypeScript!" T-shirt has people asking a lot of questions already answered by my shirt.

Compiler and language statements like this are confusing! Like, what do you mean Swift is written in C++?! Swift is a language itself! Oh, the compiler.

Idk I think I'm still putting my money on tsrs. 100% TypeScript 7.1 compatibility and already faster than `bun check`. tsrs is what I'll be looking to integrate into Bento when the time is right.

ts-rust v0.6.0 is out! It's now 30% faster than before, and up to 70% faster with the new "--fast" mode (at the expense of RAM) This mostly closes the gap in performance against `bun check` while still maintaining 100% compatibility with upstream TypeScript (Bun does not)

Yay! They also seem to be absorbing Theo’s slower tsc-rs, interesting…

Introducing tsrs: a Rust port of the TypeScript compiler 🦀 We are not forking TypeScript! ◆ In close collab with the TypeScript team ◆ Up to 8x faster than TS 7.0 & ~70% less memory ◆ Runs in WASM (works in your browser & workers) ◆ Soon part of Oxc npx tsrs blog.cloudflare.com/typescript-r...

I think it’s fair to say that Cloudflare, institutionally, and I, personally, are fairly well technically aligned

Either of these would almost certainly be frameworks just for me. Not that anybody else couldn't use them. But, like, at this point… why would they? My reasons are almost entirely aesthetic, which is becoming much less important as each hour ticks by.

Time to test deploying a @pitlane.tools project with Void

Tbh this was a pretty clever way for Cloudflare to trick me into spending $35 with them 😅 I hope I can turn this into something worth that $35 at the end

A musical called "Seven" about the seven husbands of Elizabeth Taylor as an early aughts boy band. Is that anything?

Come to think of it… a Tangled AppView that runs entirely in Cloudflare Workers could be interesting… And then maybe you use @mk.gg’s Cirrus with something like Cloudflare’s Workers for Platforms for each account’s PDS, if they don’t already have one… and git hosting sidecars for Cirrus…

I just want: - Platform level reactivity / template binding - HTML imports - Declarative custom elements - A way to persist DOM elements across same-origin document transitions and I'd drop all these meta frameworks and raw-dog the whole-ass Web Platform. I don't think that's too much to ask
