I'm so fucking tired of reading comments on AI in gaming articles with commenters saying "It's not the use in programming we hate" YOU SHOULD. WHY HAVE YOU CEDED ANY GROUND TO THE PLAGIARISM MACHINE.

Man I actually had a productive week. Started learning Blender, got back into anatomy sketching, did some coding and opened a PR against something open-source. This is the first weekend in a long while I don't have a nagging voice in my head asking if I deserve to rest. Glad I finally got medicated.

This guy doesn't even believe one of his points, why would they use it if it required him to perform the same amount of work? Especially if it's vilified enough he has to make an "It's illegal to hate me" form?

If you threw Mario into the Scrooge McDuck money pool, what happens? Does he absorb all the coins on his way down, breaking his bones against the pool bottom? Or does absorbing the coins have a noticeable affect on his descent?

Mayhaps it was not a good idea to get the Flu and COVID booster right after stopping a med that was preventing me from sleeping. I've slept 36 of the last 72 hours

Imagine if any of these people put this energy to defending the personhood of actual groups getting rights stripped away rather than the eco-disaster auto-correct with billionaire backing.

I popped my whole pussy writing that alt text. I have no idea if it's gonna help anyone who needs it for accessibility but I can assure you it is very confusing visually

Bit of a shame, but the demo had so little oomph I had a feeling it would turn out like that. Fingers crossed for Bat Galaxy so hard.

Fellas your dreams absolutely become true if you find the exact correct package on Linux. I will hold this operating system family in high regard until the next time it inconveniences me in any way shape or form.

THERE'S A SEPARATE 32 BIT FONT CACHE. THAT WAS IT.

Switched over to cachyOS, but still just having a lot of trouble running CSP through wine, one of the big reasons I felt comfortable setting up Linux. Tried Krita out to see if it would be so bad to switch; don't like their tools UI and giving up CSP Vector Layers is a lot.

I am so freaking close to CSP on Linux fuuuuuck. Why is Fedora KDE Plasma using i686 and x11 with Wine and what does any of this meaaaaaaaaaaaan

Imagine writing 5 bluesky posts because you wanted to triple down on playing a mediocre word game online

I saw yesterday that some right-wing outlets were running stories about me, which I’m used to. But this time I’m going to say something about it, because these were framed to imply that I was aligned with their own transphobia. ⬇️

Can anyone think about opsec for a single day on social media. I do not care what funny words came out your birth year, you are making it accessible and query-able public knowledge for advertisers and scammers.

This is a honey pot, they will use this to train AI. The only way to get AI free social media is to let it collapse under itself; any social media that advertises cleaning up AI or disallowing AI content just wants better data to train AI. Don't fall for it.

LinkedIn added an "AI slop" button. The U-Turn is happening, expect to see a lot more of this from other tech companies.

Playing Splatoon Raiders, peeps keep forgetting the bot bounce. Sometimes that's me, in which case I'm a lovable precocious little scamp. Sometimes that's others though, and y'all need to lock in. You have a paintbrush and we're fighting Steelheads, you cannot reach you little shorty.

Having generalist tech knowledge is weird, because you think you know how something could be done then you try it in a program and it's either the most convoluted process because of workflow choices or requires tryhard power user shit, and you hate both because you know it should be simple

What do you mean to mask and animate a color correction filter in OBS I either need to duplicate a whole ass scene to mask the filtered scene source or write a pixel shader and use a script to continuously redraw a PNG for a 2DTexture input. Why. Why are you like this. Feed the mask to the filter.

Perhaps I was too hard on you, Node Based Programming Paradigms. If nothing else, you know that things should be inputs and outputs for other things. I still find your biblically accurate representations scary and intimidating

Went on LinkedIn to piss myself off. "AI didn't fail in this case, you used it wrong, it's actually a probabilistic engine". Maybe you shouldn't be able to call it AI? We didn't beat up the people who called cars with shitty computer steering "Self Driving" enough.

*Bolting up in the middle of the night with the crazed eyes of a man who received a divine prophecy* What if Chipotle got a special stand to hold the trays upside down so they didn't have to grab a liner from the one under it

Normally I use bsky for porn, friends, and porn friends, and post infrequently when I got something funny. But ADHD meds made being a nerd fun again so get ready for a lot more posts like the last few

Stuff like this would be the reason other programming languages make fun of us, if it wasn't so esoteric compared to more readily available stuff like `1+'1'` being `'11'` and `0==[]`.

I'm not a big Javascript class user, but the fact that you lose super, getter/setter, and private variables on structured cloning seems bad? Like who cares for indexDB, don't store objects, but for Worker postMessage you just give a broken ass object that can cause a runtime error???

Trying to understand Javascript Agents (fuck off AI losers) and Realms, and coming across new spec for ShadowRealms. Again, cool names for new stuff, incredibly hard to make sense of it all. It's basically a new Realm but somehow better? Why is making a Realm sucky performance in the first place?

Like yeah, making an iframe is a lot of overhead, but I'd think that's more from the rest of the iframe rather than just the Javascript realm. They make it seem like ShadowRealm isn't just exposure of Realm creation as an API but a whole new thing, why exactly?

Oh wait I finally found a site, it's because an iframe can share an object to the main page realm using window.parent stuff, whereas a shadow realm enforces isolation and their pristine global has no communication, so it's a new thing. Confusing.

I've rewritten my little doc on Javascript Execution Contexts like 5 times, I keep finding stuff I missed or that's relatively new like Module Execution Contexts and the Private Environment Record. Stuff gets a bit confusing when you look under the hood

"AI is here to stay" So is my hatred of it, and that doesn't require massive changes to power grid infrastructure and asking teachers to turn off AC, so I think mine's a bit more sustainable in a war of attrition

Once I'm satisfied with my Javascript relearning, I gotta get my css test environment updated. Had an idea for combining css halftone styling with pseudo selector box-shadow on content data-attr text to make half tone backgrounds that appear around text characters

"You're just trying to write code in the best way you can to achieve the objective you want." I will fucking introduce you to the devs I've worked with who only cared about getting across the finish line, I'm sure you'd love to hire them and you'd produce such a good game.

Duck AI Slop!!@duckaislop.bsky.social

Slay the Spire 2 Mega Crit. No disclosure, "our programmers use AI for code reviews." Yano admits to using it as a thesaurus too. -y Misleading titled article: www.gamespot.com/articles/sla...

Relearning and documenting Javascript holistically is enlightening but exhausting. What do you mean they just added a fourth variable declaration keyword this year that can only work with objects that implement a `symbol.dispose` or `symbol.asyncDispose` method

Surely you met someone with the initials SNK who's really passionate about retro games? You wouldn't possibly be working with a homuncular husk puppeted by a dictatorship diametrically opposed to many of the causes you raise money for, right?

Now that I have time and a somewhat functional brain, I'm going back to in-depth coding notes before writing code again. Learned about Javascript's Temporal Dead Zone. I know a lot of the language is built on bad concepts kept around for backwards compat, but the new stuff is good and has rad names

The last time these people were there I heard they were actually really good at getting into the locked buildings in the area, did they grow soft?

Laura Jedeed@laurajedeed.bsky.social

Here's the situation: The fairgoers have been expelled by force They have been told to shelter in nearby buildings, but all the buildings are locked because it is the Fourth of July People are clustering at the entrance points and blocking traffic for blocks The clouds are growing darker
