something ive been thinking about for a while: i truly don't believe that "i knew i wanted to be a [woman/man] since i was 10 years old" is the most common type of person who would benefit from HRT. they're just way more likely to get access to it. and i think this should change

older partner who gets really flustered when you show affection in public and is always tryna hide you and you're really confused untill you realize she thinks you're 13

me and the bad bitch i pulled by looking like a teenager

ok this is actually driving me insane spot the difference puzzle (also consider that these could be rotated in any orientation in a schematic, AND the connection on the left side is often shifted vertically) why can't they just.. write the name of the transistor, and label the pins

12 ๐“…ƒ@12.shsbs.xyz

transistor schematic symbols are so evil tbh the pins are at weird angles and they're hard to draw and tell apart and have gotten increasingly worse over time

i'm 90% sure one of my homework problems has a mistake in it because they used the wrong symbol. think of how many other errors this causes

i am very confident it wouldn't be possible to tell the difference between a 120Hz screen and a 60Hz screen that takes a 120Hz video signal and blends pairs of frames together

but NOT because the discrete time steps are too large (which we'd need to solve by burning tons of resources to render absurdly high framerates) rather, purely because of the gaps in the trails of moving objects. which can be solved in more efficient ways

and at the very least, even if 16.7ms is too slow, i really doubt anything less than 10ms is necessary. (120fps is probably a good absolute maximum bc it's conveniently twice 60fps. but anything beyond that is a joke)

i just do not believe your eye can distinguish between two objects appearing 16ms apart vs at the same time. but it CAN tell the difference between that and only one object appearing.

("object" in this case being the image of a moving object that's traveling across your screen) irl, every moving object produces a continuous trail across your vision, because your eyes capture photons continuously rather than grouped into frames. so ofc any discrete rendering looks choppy to us

i am very confident it wouldn't be possible to tell the difference between a 120Hz screen and a 60Hz screen that takes a 120Hz video signal and blends pairs of frames together

in this case that's a moot point, because rendering twice as many frames is the harder task than physically displaying them (i think?) but you could apply this at an earlier stage: i.e. motion blur (if done properly), or just rendering an object multiple times at intermediate positions.

e.g. a common simple demo people use for high framerates is how smooth it feels move a mouse cursor around. so, i posit that if you just rendered the cursor at several intermediate positions during fast motion, it would feel almost equally smooth at 60fps.

i feel like "programming is art" is kind of a nonsense statement, because literally everything within the computer world is programs and data, so it would be like saying "matter is art". some of it is, 99.9% isn't. most things just exist and aren't special.

I think this one is option 3: account created in November 2024 wants to accumulate impressions by way of likes+reposts by using some collection of buzzwords and topics.

like i don't wanna be the "2D >>> 3D" guy but like idk it requires a lot more trust and familiarity for me to appreciate pictures of real people. it's a different kind of experience entirely. also the dysphoria

(tangentially) i do think it's really really important to see other people's nude bodies, but like candidly, not just in perfectly staged scenarios. this really helps correct your expectations for what humans actually can look like.

this image was clearly made with such burning hate and yet over the years these two have become warm friends. they tapped into something real and true. me when i find a cool stick

They are going to start sending me threatening anonymous messages and subposting me and asking and demanding why I do not draw representation for the adult person community.

every time i use my partner's old phone it makes me so upset. everything just works and doesn't glitch around or lag at ALL. everyone who works on user interfaces right now needs to be dumped into a volcano, and we need to go back and not update until we can actually improve things.

i hope everyone across the entire industry who is responsible for the death of the user interface loses their job to ai and also dies.

If you're trans and I'm trans then that means we have to agree about everything or one of us is a bad person and I know I'm not a bad person so it must be you al I have to make sure you know how bad you are

huh i hadn't felt lightheaded from standing up too quickly in a long time.. i kinda missed that feeling it's nice...

i wish everyone would stop blocking data urls.. they're no more unsafe than an untrusted https link. like i could literally just host the exact same file on any free hosting website even if it was malicious.

horsegirls have become popular lately but i think they are so underwhelming bc they lack like the most important feature of The Hourse. like you cant even a horsegirl "why the long face" whats the point
