@pablo.show @profootballtalk.bsky.social They tested Hurts for clots knowing they had a 7-hour flight to London. It would be useful to know if they would have tested him at all, had it ‘just’ been a ‘normal’ 6-hour flight to Seattle, LA, SF? Like this wasn’t to Australia, it was only one more hour.

@garybrannan.bsky.social re:OOTPIL episode 6 genuinely the only memory I have of my primary school head teacher is a kid once asking him why he wore his watch on the inside of his wrist and his answer was “so I can check the time without spilling my pint”

whenever someone says "they look x age and y age at the same time" the person is almost always about halfway between x and y

Black Ops 7 is actually pretty fun if you just pretend it isn’t a Call of Duty game. It’s way more similar to XDefiant or Titanfall 2 with the maps, completely made-up guns, and adding the wall bounce to Black Ops 6’s omnimovement. However I’d still just prefer a good Call of Duty game.

I think the worst part of Call of Duty going from showing ‘kills’ to showing ‘eliminations’ is that it changes K/D to E/D

Honestly if you believe seasons start on the 21st of their respective months you've either never thought critically about it or never been outside. December 14th is very clearly Winter and March 19th very clearly isn't.

There's many reasons you shouldn't vote Labour; stance on trans and disabled people, Mandelson and their appeasement of Trump, their economic illiteracy, attacks on privacy, free speech, etc… But specifically in G&D? They decreed that Starmer's leadership matters more to them than representing you.

@atp.fm re: School, Then and Now I’m 27 and my school was just posh enough that a lot of kids had hand me down Blackberries as their first non-‘brick’ phones So if you weren’t on BBM, you simply weren’t considered one of the cool kids; and the social dynamic formed by that long outlived BBM

Shockingly, I did _not_ have Blackberry and was therefore not a cool kid (not the only reason but it didn’t help) Eventually BBM was usurped by FaceBook Messenger and latterly Snapchat, both of which were problems I was left fixing well into my 20s lmao

My school banned phones years before I got there (11 years old in 2010) If a staff member saw you, including during break/lunch, your phone got confiscated and your parent/guardian had to come in and get it Therefore… we just didn’t get caught using them
