Been seeing this guy score goals for 20 years. Somehow, after moving all over the country in that time period, he ended up setting the all-time goal record just a 30 minute train ride away. Such an incredible thing to see. Alex Ovechkin single-handedly made me love this game and I love him

Double standards and weird selective outrage aside, throwing your career away for someone you've known for a negligible amount of time is wild

Cool. Give ESPN extra money to even be able to watch the Australian Open, and then they just cut in with the regular coverage and make it so you can't even see the match you were watching

Maybe besides the point, but getting pretty funny how much company man Jeff Passan refuses to move over here and off the Nazi site

The Texas Rangers acquire starter MacKenzie Gore from the Washington Nationals for 5 prospects. @jonheyman.bsky.social and Jeff Passan on it.

They were also one IKF knowing how to run the bases away from losing

Also the Dodgers -- who are unbelievable -- finished with the third-best record in the NL, and needed a sweep over a Mariners team that was literally not trying the final weekend to not finish 4th. Not an insult; just pointing out that they didn't break baseball last year, and won't this year.

This is the Boston Massacre shooters getting shipped home to England to have their sentences commuted

Walz: "We have learned that the Trump administration has now denied the state that ability to participate in the investigation. I want to make this as clear as possible: Minnesota must be part of this investigation ... it feels very very difficult that we will get a fair outcome."

They aren't frightened. They're there to kill

I think it's pretty clear that they want to provoke confrontation, and they want ICE agents to feel tense, frightened, and threatened—antagonistic to the public, grateful and loyal to the administration that "protects" them. They want excuses for violence, and a militia eager to deploy it.

Instead, he has said a country, a country we have destabilized, stole our oil from itself and is killing people over it, trying to start a war to build some kind of legacy. They're both the worst of the worst. This isn't a competition we need to have

Fair choice, because it's impossible to get a slot to go in there

As hundreds of thousands of people amass in Times Square for the annual New Year’s Eve ball drop, Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani will be sworn into office at the old City Hall subway station in downtown Manhattan.

How many articles has the New York Times written like this about men?

Sydney Sweeney has become one of the most perplexing figures in modern cinema, Esther Zuckerman writes. “The image Sweeney is cultivating as a performer stands in stark contrast to the way she positions herself as a celebrity.”

He has the option to not opt out after his contract ends?

Passanthallich@passanthalbot.bsky.social

@JeffPassan tweeted Right-hander Michael King and the San Diego Padres are in agreement on a three-year, $75 million contract, sources tell ESPN. The deal allows King to opt out after the 2027 and 2028 seasons. @Feinsand was first on the news.

Getting Edwin back would've been nice, but it's not bad for the Mets to replace him with a guy who can be just as good and has been less volatile in his career. But, for me, missing out on Schwarber too means Pete is a must.

Admittedly, I have this same thought, but I don't say anything about on national tv as the transportation secretary because I'm not a lunatic. The worst part? I won't even judge people anymore. I'll just be saying hell ya because this guy ruined my whole thing

Sean Duffy: "Dressing with respect -- whether it's a pair of jeans and a decent shirt, I would encourage people to maybe dress a little better which encourages us to maybe behave a little better. Let's try not to wear slippers and pajamas as we come to the airport."

Steph Curry did some of the most insane things known to man in that game for an Olympic gold medal, but yeah number 6

A lot has happened in the NBA over the past 25 years. So our writers ranked the most significant moments of the 2000s. Do you agree with our list?

The way conservatives keep trying to paint everyone else as being upset personally for Jimmy Kimmel because they can't imagine either respecting the Constitution or not worshipping someone is hilarious and extremely troubling

3B playing SS on the grass, tying run on 3rd, 2 outs. The only time ever someone should be bunting. Mendoza says nah. Forget not making Soto steal. It'll be so nice when Stearns can bring his own people in for the Mets

Would be classic of him to avoid an all-American final on Saturday due to his hatred of women

Not to say this is wrong, but fascists pretty quickly lost steam with Hitler and Mussolini dead (tho plenty of Nazis were chased to the ends of the earth). But the figurehead that is too mindless is a key component to lead the thing none of the other morons want to
