There is no issue, literally not one, where you couldn't find 50 Democrats in the US who have absolutely shit positions on the issue. But saying the Democratic party overall is bad on trans issues is like saying the party as a whole is not Pro-Choice on the grounds that Pro-life Dems exist.

on the issue, because that's how comparisons work. And it's hard not to notice that the people who question that statement never seem to have in mind a different party anywhere on Earth that is better on the issue than Democrats.

So if even 0.5% of Democratic officials are transphobic, that would still be plenty of ammunition to bombard you with "Dems are evil" messaging at full volume multiple times a week. Also: even if Dems sucked on trans issues(and they don't), that wouldn't preclude them from being the best party

Because there are 10s of thousands of Democratic electeds in the United States, and you have positioned yourself directly into a media environment that is designed to find every statement a Democrat makes that is even vaguely transphobic as soon as it happens.
