2 Old 4 Gaming

First post on Blue Sky! I’m Sandeep Rai. I write books about video game history, I create manuals for PSVita, PS4 and PS5 games and I founded the magazine, “RPM - The Retro PlayStation Magazine.” :)

Which PS3 "3" was best? - Uncharted 3, - Killzone 3, - Resistance 3 or - God of War 3?

Memories

Last year I started work on a book all about the history of the PSP. I wanted to have it ready to launch the Kickstarter for the PSP’s 20th anniversary but I’ve taken on a few too many projects. It is going to happen but likely mid-2025. Designed by @playsushiuk.bsky.social of course. :)

It’s awesome how they used so much PlayStation iconography in the 15! Even the PS3 keyboard attachment and Buzz controllers are there!

Square Enix’s support for the PSP was legendary

I’ll forever associate Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children with my PSP

On The Go - The Unofficial Complete History of the PSP can now be backed on Kickstarter! - Premium 320-page hardback book - Full history of the PlayStation Portable - Retrospectives on the biggest games - Gallery of every PSP model And it’s already funded! www.kickstarter.com/projects/2o4...

When the PSP launched in the UK, it was priced £180. This was considered a good price at the time given how much it could do (gaming, movies, music, internet and photos). It sold 185,000 units in three days and was (at the time) the fastest selling game system in the U.K.

RPM issue no. 7 arrived from @2old4gaming.bsky.social with a lovely art card. #playstation #retro Where else would you find an extensive retrospective on PS3 game Afrika? 🦓

Good delivery day from @2old4gaming.bsky.social

Just arrived this morning and another corking looking issue from @2old4gaming.bsky.social and the team!

The test print for “On The Go” has arrived! I know I’m biased but this book is going to be so good! I want this to be THE book for fans of the PSP. Kickstarter goes live in less than two weeks!

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children on PSP is 20 years old next month! The story wasn’t the strongest but the action and CG graphics were amazing for its time.

🚨PSP FANS! I need your help! As part of On The Go – my upcoming book about the PSP – I’m creating a FREE zine for backers featuring the top 100 PSP games… but I need your votes to decide the list! Vote for your favourites here: forms.gle/vG7hS3zrCuQ5... RTs appreciated!

Shout out to the people still playing Call of Duty online on PSVita! I was on my own against two people for most of the match and did surprisingly well… which may say more about how bad they were rather than how good I am!

There’s a new Kickstarter coming from @2old4gaming.bsky.social soon! This one covers the history of the PSP. Check it out here and get notified when it launches. (I also contributed some articles to it!) www.kickstarter.com/projects/2o4...

1st September 2025 (the 20th anniversary of the PSP's launch in Europe), I'll be launching the Kickstarter for my next book: On The Go - The Complete History of the PlayStation Portable. Retweets would be really appreciated. www.kickstarter.com/projects/2o4...

We’re finally getting a new PlayStation handheld!

I’m beyond excited to share what @2old4gaming.bsky.social and I are working on. Some dreams have come true on a really cool project that I really hope people get around

Good delivery day from @2old4gaming.bsky.social 😊

if you want to order any PlayStation books, manuals or magazines from my Etsy store, you can do so before Sunday. After that, I'm putting my store on Holiday Mode for a week. 2old4gaming.etsy.com

I've been pretty quiet on social media recently as I've been busy packing and posting the Sony book and issue 6 of RPM - The Unofficial Retro PlayStation Magazine. I'm finally done and planning to take break from next week from posting anything (I definitely need it!).

Got the latest RPM issue from @2old4gaming.bsky.social in, cracking stuff as usual. Noticed there's a shelf in the back half of an article (by @mysticryan.bsky.social) belonging to a certain someome ... that I miss dearly 🥲 (house moving shenanigans that's been going on for nearly 2 years ...)

Just received my 2nd published magazine cover for RPM! Thanks @2old4gaming.bsky.social for bringing me on board!

My copy surprise-arrived today! Thank you @obsoletesony.com & @2old4gaming.bsky.social for making it a reality! 👌🏻 Another lovely hardback book for the Sony collection! 📖

I just backed RPM Issue 6 - The Unofficial Retro PlayStation Magazine by @2old4gaming.bsky.social on Kickstarter www.kickstarter.com/projects/2o4...

I grew up reading Mean Machines & Official PlayStation Magazine UK. Now I make RPM: a fan-made tribute to the golden era of PlayStation. No ads. Just 72 pages of PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP & Vita love. If you miss physical, classic gaming mags, this is for you bit.ly/RPM_6

The PlayStation Move was better than a lot of people give it credit for.
