Found this old pin while cleaning today; it came with the opening night tickets. At the time I had recently reunited with my Dad who I hadn't seen in almost a decade. He wanted to see the movie with me, and that made the day special.

Saying we should all go back to physical media I think misses the point. I actually *like* buying games and movies digitally for a bunch of reasons. What we need is better consumer protections so the things we do buy digitally are actually owned and companies cant delete/revoke access!

I'm reading 1984 for the first time, and I clearly see why Newspeak is a dangerous idea, but I can't help but resonate with the "every word contains its antonym" idea. Like, instead of saying "I'm delirious from lack of sleep", I could say "I'm delirious from unsleep". Why shouldn't I use unsleep?

Dear Game Developers, I don't run into this often, but I do consider it a cardinal sin to not give me settings options from the start screen. If you make me start the game and then sit through the opening before I get settings because they're only on the pause menu, that's exceedingly annoying.
