It was either going to be found or not found. I'm not excusing the use of AI but like, let's say some day it does cure cancer, or produce a mathematical proof. Do we ignore that? Do we not patch the bugs it finds in software?

I'll fully admit that I can't get over this lol. I don't want the machine doing "art." I don't really want the machine writing code. It's bad at these things and it's soulless and LLM output fills me with a misplaced dread, I'm sick of seeing it! But this is a software bug that was already there!

tbh I'm still laughing at this. I mean don't use the exploit if you don't want to, or if you feel like it supports AI or whatever, but the moral posture of not wanting to steal software just because it's not 100% pure artisanal haxx is funny

Anyways, software getting ripped apart and slop cloned and exploited is probably one of the *better* developments against AI because you know the people with money (you know, the people with actual power) aren't gonna stand for it for very long
